This workshop was a pilot programme jointly presented by The University of Hong Kongs School of Public Health and Journalism and Media Studies Centre. It aimed to enable journalists to develop greater insight related to public health and science, focusing on infectious diseases like COVID-19. The objectives included building health literacy and knowledge in professional journalists, providing basic tools and background knowledge for non-specialist journalists, and assisting journalists in understanding and interpreting information and data.
