Description
香港大學的跨學科團隊成功研發出一種新檢測方法,可在數小時內分辨污水中不同的新冠病毒及其變種病毒。該方法已成功應用於柴灣收集到的一個污水樣本中,檢測出β變種(即最早在南非發現的B.1.351突變株)的N501Y突變和其他陽性信號。該團隊自去年起與政府合作進行污水檢測,至今找出逾50宗確診個案。
